Archbishop Smith will join with All Souls’ Parish congregation to celebrate Christ the King Sunday.

The Brass ensemble will add their joyful noise to the 9.30am service which will be followed by fellowship and morning tea.

Holy Communion is shared with spoken responses without hymns. This service offers time for quiet reflection and prayer.

Communion is celebrated with hymns accompanied by the organ and visiting musicians from the Cambeltown City Band.

The 1st Order of Holy Communion, from A Prayer Book for Australia, Second Edition, is used on the second Sunday each month.  The format of this service is similar to that of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, with inclusive language appropriate for 21st Century Liturgy.  Lawrence Barlett, Chair of the Liturgical Commission that produced A Prayer Book for Australia, explains:
“Liturgy is more than words.  Words provide a framework to encourage worship, but the important thing is the spirit in which the words are used.  No prayer book can determine that.”
